Default JDM Cluster in 89 Htb Help

I installed the cluster in to my 89 htb Si, now the problem is... I don't have dash lights and my dimmer is plugged in to and I've checked all the blubs too. And the second problem is, as soon as I turn the key on, the speedo goes to 60K and stays there. Ive check my wiring over and over again, I can't find any problems???

i did a SiR cluster in my 89 too. same problem. the 90-91 dimmer switch is not plug and play for a 88-89. first check the fuse. i bet its broken. here's the post i made about it, awhile back... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=318615. the solution is at the buttom of that post.

as for the speedo thing, check your wiring again. mine did that too, when i had the wiring off. does the speedo think its the tach?

yea, even with the vss unplugged, it still goes to 60K. All the fuses look fine too, thats the wierd part. And that link doesn't work either.

aww, sorry, try the link now. i just fixed it. make sure all your connections are on good. loose wires can cause crappy signals.
