there is anything i should ask, or be conscious of while they are tuning.
Like should i ask them any certain questions? or should i tell them anything specific needs to be done or something?

Tell them what you want. Do you want the highest peak HP number, or do you want a broader powerband at the cost of a couple of HP up top ? Does the shop tune with a wideband? Do they do part throttle tuning? What engine management systems can they tune for you? Talk to anybody you know that might have had the shop tune their car, are they satisfied with the work?

You have to tell them if you want your cam gears set, ignition timing, fuel pressure, etc. Depends on what mods you have on your car as to how much tuning can be done.

 

Try to find out if you are running rich or lean. Things he will be tuning are A/F (fuel pressure, fuel by ecu management), cam gears and ignition timing.
