That only works on 88-91 hatchbacks, not CRX. I don't mind the gap at all actually, I have a place to put my arm on and to store stuff... I am not sure if there is something I can do to make it look more factory, I am sure it has to be a custom job though.

I just did this in my Civic... but the complete console.
Anyways, to fill that gap just go buy a piece of ABS plastic and put it there... will make it look 100 times better.

Thanks, in order to get rid of the gap I need to custom it. If I had a hatch then it would of been an exact fit with the center console. But like I said even though there is a gap I don't mind it at all, my car is not made to be in any car shows!

Nice job!
Does it use stock mounting holes or did you have to do some drilling?
oh, and is there any way you could use the stock CRX e-brake cover to fill the gap, or at least part of the cover?

Thank you, you see that tab on the front part of the armrest? I just screwed the screws in there to hold it down. I never attempted to use the stock e-brake cover, you may be onto something though, I'll see if something like that can be done...

Yeah, I'm sure you could at least fabricate a filler out of the e-brake cover.
Is it wobbly at all, What secures the back of the armrest?
Got any more pics?, I really want to do this myself!

It's not wobbly unless you mess with it, I think the seats and seatbelt clamps hold it even more in place. I will take more pics soon to show you more detail. Do it!! I love mine!

Are you sure about this cause tried an Integra Type R center console and it didn't fit, but then i was trying to put it in a 1989 hatch, is there a difference between cars and consoles?

Hmmm. I'm sure there's some way to mount the rear of the armrest to make it more stable. What about the rear tabs that hold the stock E-brake cover in place. Do they match up w/anything on the GSR console?
Out of curiosity, whats the difference between the GSR shift boot and the stock one?

The boot is much better looking than the CRX one IMO. The rear holes did not match up, I think I'm gonna have to drill some or something.

Hey, I didn't complain about that gap in your teeth that your boyfriend left you.
I love your punctuation, shows how smart you are....

Hmm, I dont really see much of a difference, is the GSR longer?
I guess I'll have to look at both up close and personal.
I saw an ITR armrest cushion on ebay (black leather w/red stitching) that would look killer with your red-stripe recaros.

The GSR boot is longer so I cut it down to the same size as the crx boot. To me the crx one looked more plastic like and the gsr boot looks more leather like. How much was that ITR armrest going for? I got this one for free so that's why I didn't mind using it at all.

I think it was going for like 30 bucks.
Would look sweet with a red stitched ITR shift boot too!
(ok I'm getting carried away now)
