pix from USGP of Accord concept coupe
Sorry if someone has already posted some pix from the USGP of this. My buddy was there this weekend and took them for me. It's hard to tell in the pic, but he said the steering wheel had a paddle-shifter on it
thought you guys might like to see!

this will never be a production car
if it is it will be over a $100,000 car
the front air dam and rear diffuser are a nice touch but are totally impratical for street application
the Brembo brake and rotor application is way to exspensive to out into a practical production car like the Accord
the Accord is not Honda's sports car, therefor there is truly no demand to create this vehicle, it just is cool for people to look at
the only place you might see that car is in some touring car series where they have to create a certain amount in production a year

uhh, i guess youve never been in an E46M3 thats not manual, or even seen one for that matter. they have paddle shifters, i know ive driven one.
its sweet
that accord i saw at some car sow a while back, still debating on if i like it or not, definitely not feeling the rear bumper though, its looks cool but.............

the rear bumper is fully practical, it is the tail end of a rear diffuser which helps air flow better underneath the car creating more downforce
but the average consumer buys cars for asethtic reasons

I say this particular accord is a trailer queen because of the rusted brakes, not the paddle shifters. I know enough that this feature is exclusive to the exotics and elite cars.
It's too honest to goodness gorgeous to be driven.
I guess I should be more specific.
I would seriously like to see someone come up with the paddle shifter in a production car.

it only takes overnight dew buildup to put a layer of rust on rotors
this happens all the time to our race cars that sit overnight at the track
Ferrari has put paddle shifters in their cars, the new Pontiac GTO has the technology

BMWs, Pontiac Grand Prix, Ferrari's, there are paddle shifters popping up everywhere

i usually don't like designs like that, but that is one damn sexy car... gotta agree with some of the others that it will probably never make it into production in any real form.... not even the paddle shifters....
to the car either way, i really like it.

nice car....i liek many others arent feeling the rear bumper but if its fully functional then so be it. And arent paddle shifters supposedly replacing sticks?
it's okay, I would just be so much more impressed with it if they'd just actually put it into production. I don't care for teh wing, but other than that, it's okay. The 7th gen in general just doesn't suit my tastes but if they put this car into production, I might reconsider, depending...
