I've heard you can blow your head or burn out your exhaust valves with no downpipe. Is this true?

Cuz im a little worried about the Mccord power plate now. Ill have a 2.5inch downpipe to the 3 inch mccord power plate.

Will this cause head damage?

Logically, I do not see how and open downpipe has ANYTHING to do with the valves. Maybe you will blow it from making too much power ?

well .. its kinda like .. turning your car on with no header on. the major temperature differences when the cars on. is the motor slightly sucks IN air and the heat difference will cause the valves to bend. hence by running no downpipe the possibility of the valves bending. the answer is. with at least a small downpipe it should be perfectly fine. just as long as your not running straight off the head.
