actually I thought it was detonation that killed sleeves in the B20- tune it right and you'll be ok. I've taken my CRVT to 9k on a stock bottom, no issues to speak of! and she's just going to get better from there...

2 reasons why Im not sleeving:
1) money is an issue
2) too many stories about sunken sleeves...

you don't really need to worry about sleeving the motor as you won't really ever need to rev high.. Boosting on the CRV block is bad, but NA is OK... (good saying to remember) I would suggest you look at some of the setups that are around and see what they are doing. I can tell you the my stock bottom end has been subjected to hell, and has NO issues!!!! One onther thing to note is that with the ITR head, your compression won't be super high... maybe even less than you expect it to be.

ive done some research on the b20 vtec and what ive found about the sleeving issue is that u shouldnt put anything higher than 11.5 compression ratio pistons in there so u should be good to go. just search around to see what other people have done and how theirs worked out.
