i was looking at 3.2 TL's last week, was really close to buying one instead of an accord but the ****-shift transmission kinda killed it for me. The so called "sport shifting" was one of the weakest driving experience ive ever had. I heard honda extended the transmission warranty on the TL to 7 years/ 70,000 miles (all TL's come with that tranny..)
I will miss that low end grunt though, and besides the tranny it is a really nice car!

dont worry the car is still under warranty. they have a 100,000 mile exstension warranty on that year prelude. but first check to see if the brakelights work when it wont go into park. if the brakelight dont work when it wont go into gear then you probably just need a brakelight switch, which will still be under warranty.

Is this automatically applied for free to all cars of this year?

the warranty only extends for the automatic transmission on earlier 5th gen preludes? maybe all.
but if you've got an auto lude and your tranny hasn't failed yet a) you're lucky and b) you'd better hope it does before you hit 100K b/c it WILL fail.
the SS (auto) tranny is a P.O.S.

W3RD. I had my 97 replaced for free at the 75,000mi mark when it got all fuxored. I just got the car last year and it came with the warranty. Next time it goes out, I'll save up for a 5 speed swap.
