Hey everyone... I'm pretty sure everyone had tree sap on their paint before and simply is a PITA to get off. Well, I parked under a stupid tree a couple of days ago and the sap fell on my hood. Today, I tried to clean it out but it was hardened. I tried soap, car wash, "bug and tar and tree sap" remover from Kragen, my fingernail... everything. Can someone lead me the way to remove this crap? Thanks for the help.

 

i had the same problem, i tried everything. its been about a month since it happend and its still there.

Ive got spots on my car from years of parking at my parents house under their pine tree. Does anyone know how to get them off without repainting it? The spots are as smooth as the paint, so I cant rub it off, it seems like it stained it.

 

A good way to prevent it would be a car cover. Try Goo-off or sumtin like Dissolve it!

 

Have you tried a clay bar? Gets all embedded contaminants (tree sap, bugs, overspray, etc) off
