Cleaning tranny and clutch

I have a tranny and clutch that's waiting to go in...both were used, how should I clean them? Brake cleaner? Warm water/light soap? Thanks.

Used Clutch ? Why are you going to put in a used clutch ? I would rather put in a new one. I don't find too much fun in pulling trannies too often.
