Default New Prelude owner

I'm so excited. I'm picking up my first car, a 1995 Honda Prelude S tomorrow. She paid $12,000 for it a year and a half ago from a dealer. It had about 123K miles on it when she got it, and it has like 133K on it now. The chick wanted Kelly Blue Book, $5,300, but we're getting it for 5. I can't wait till I get it. My dad is going to teach me how to drive a stick shift. I love this car, it's so sexy. The only thing is that there is some pain chipped off from where the chicks step dad hit it, no physical damage, just paint. We are going to have it repainted of course. She had all the papers on it, Smog check, its tags are updated, new fan motor (she called it). My dad wants to get the timing belt replaced, he said that Honda's should have that replaced after a while. So yeah for me, I sound like a n00b i know, but I'm just so excited. Man this is like a dream come true. I also will need some help finding some nice clean JDM parts for it. I searched around, and Preludes are hard to shop for, or its just me, anywho.... the first thing I'm going to do is have the inside cleaned, change the oil, and buy a car cover for it, since can't park in the garage. My dad, my brother and I are in the process of restoring a 1965 Ford Falcon which sits in the 1 car garage basically. So yeah, thats my speal. My first car is a PRELUDE, I love being 16 !

OWN j00 all!

Congratulations! Your're only 16 and already have the passion. I couldn't afford my first car 'till I was 19. My Dad wouldn't loan me any money! Ludes are fun.

just dont rush the process, take your time and listen to the instructor
i was 11 when i learned and i rushed it and ended up messing up the clutch a bit on my cousins CRX.

congrats, my first car was a prelude when i was 16 too.

Well today's stick lesson went alot better. I can start into first most of the time w/o stalling it now , MAN OWNZ, I remember WAY back when I liked rice , what was I thinking? Stock (with exception to JDM stuff) is so much nicer. I can't wait till she's all mine. I need a job to pay the 5Gs to my parents back.

Congrats bro, got that 95 S too, mine is black, your cool as long as you dont put any obnoxious stickers, huge ubscene wings, rediculous looking rims, and if you even think of wanting some kind of lambo doors, i will personally hit you on the headwith a 16 pound sledge hammer repeatedly, so other than that welcome, oh yeah once you learn stick get a radar detector its your friend. stick is so much more fun that auto, i had an auto 94 accord b4 my lude. oh yeah some advice dont mess your car up they are expensive as **** to repair, i know first hand.
