No need for ignition upgrades.

I good header and intake would be nice mods. Then maybe an exhuast.

It will never be really fast with just basic mods like these however.

AEM will add some decent midrange power, as stated above, ignition is not necessary at this point.

personally i would start with suspension first. if your talking about the Z6, bolt ons arent going to give you much. i have a Z6 del sol with your basic add ons, nothing much out of it. if youve got a B16, then i would go with the bolt ons. But spending that first grand on suspension has been a great investment.

need to say which VTEC you got swapped in, SOHC or DOHC, and if how much green your willin to put into it.

I'm with the post above, put a decent grand into the suspension and you'll have fun takin corners all day.

Suspension is a first, Most Deff. Tekico shocks and coilovers are decent for street. Get some strut bars and you will be good. I/H/E is a given, AEM makes a great intake, DC makes an excellent Header, and custom your Exhaust with an N1 muffler and get some mandrel (sp???) piping and meitke (sp) would hook it up for you for like 30-60 bucks. And later down the road if you have the money chip out your ECU or go Turbo!!!! Everyone loves TURBO!!!! PSHHHHH!!!!

I'd get an intake and then do suspension mods.

Intakes sound cool () but good suspension is the way to go

Performance!

Iceman, AEM intakes are good for the price, you can get something more expensive, but that's hardly the point here, right? No matter how much you spend on an intake, it won't make a hell of a lot of difference.

Suspension - a nice set up can be had for ~$1000. Coilovers, strut bars and sway bar (rear) really tighten things up well. For free power, swap out your power steering rack (if you have one) for a manual rack. I actually made money doing that!!

Have a look at my site - I'm taking things quite slowly too, as I don't have endless funds (especially not with a brand new house and a baby on the way in a week!!)

Most of all, congrats and have fun!!

Steve
