hey i went to the track for the first time. i ran my stock 97 hatch on bald tires and ran a 17.1. Do you think this is bad?

That sounds right.. why did you take a stock car on bald tires to that track though?

 

Really didn't give any info on the car like model, and what mods you have done, an like what your 60's times were and your trap speed. But I really think you need a swap.

Yeah really. Every other thread is someone saying thy ran on bald tires, bad struts, and a CEL with 10 codes. If your car isn't in good shape don't take it to the track.

 

is your car a 5 speed? just curious. what are your plans for mods?

 

i just wanted to see what my car could do and i never have raced at all. just for the experience i guess.

 

I dont think its stupid to take a stock hatch to the track. You could use that run as a baseline for future mods, i.e. swap.

 

is that the only run u did? or best out of how many?

 

i ran it 9 times and my best was 17.1 worst was 17.4
