I know the older ones required you to drill holes in the spots that you needed to mount things. Such as the hoses and bolts to hold it to the car. It fits perfect, you won't run into a problem there. If you already have an aem one though, stick with that and put your money towards something else.

Why the HECK would a Cold air intake need provisions for an OXYGEN Sensor???

I think they meant "IAT sensor". ( Intake Air Temp ) sensor

I have used the ICEMAN, AEM, and the no-name brand Cold Air Intakes for the 88-91 Civics/CRX's with B-series swaps, (B16,B17, LS,) with no problem.

I now have a JDM Type R engine in my 90 HF and I am still using the intake I have used when I had the B17 in there. I had to get a bigger silcone "coupler" of course for the Type R's bigger throttle body, but other than that, you can use the intakes meant for the stock D16a6.

the intake for the stock d16a6 sucks, i wouldn't use that if i was paid to. the piping diamater is much smaller than a b16, which is gonna get exponentially worse especially when you start heavily modifying the b16 like i am. project91crx....what car is that intake for...is it for the crx si? and whats the piping diamter on that?

It was for a 1988-1991 Honda CRX Si. It was on my stock d16 before i swaped over to a DOHC ZC.

The Inlet Diameter is a 3.5 then it narrows down to the diameter of the TB.

you guys know where aluminum tubing(2.5" and up) are sold, i could use some prefabricated pieces to make my own cold air intake. the aem ITR hits the battery, and i really don't wanna move it to the trunk! i'm looking to make a 3" CAI, that will keep my battery in the stock location. too bad aem/injen/iceman, haven't come up with one

which intake did you have...did you have the intake for swapped EF, or did you have the 88-91 crx intake? cuz i know the 88-91 crx would fit regardless of the motor

You should be able to heat the Iceman intake and then it should slowly but surely stretch to fit over a bigger throttle body.

i just got my rs akimoto spiral flex intake arm, and it looks pretty nice. only downside is i need to make a port for valve cover hose and charcoal canister hose. but its adjustable to fit and insulated, so well worth it.

No it's a stock battery. I will look for some pics, but dont think I have any. It basically looks just like the one that 'iwouldhitit' posted, but where his filter is, is where the pipe continues downward.
