h22 swap

Default h22 swap

what is needed for a h22 swap. i can change the clutch from cable to hydro thats easy but what trans and half shafts do i need?

To be honest, if you need to ask, you need to do a simpler swap. I'm not going to get into the whole "H22" debate, but it is not an easy motor to swap. If you have the money, and have a shop to do it for you, than do what you wish.

i can do the swap my self its not a big deal. but waht i was wondering is what trans wotks the best, what half shafts work the best ect. you know taking a lot of the guess work out of things.

Well if you knew anything about Honda you would know the motors come in SERIES... D, B, H, F, etc.

You HAVE to use an H SERIES tranny.

thats not all true. i know that a b 16 will fit a d 15 trans. with a few drilled holes. for example will a trans from a 2.0 older prelude fit a h or f 2.2? sould would would have to do less work?

the tranny for the f and h series motors are the same.

thanks someone here is a little nicer. i was wrong though my friend said he was giving me a h22 and it is reall a f22b1. i just went to look at it. so any one done a f22b1 in a 1989 crxhf?

I don't think your gonna get a lot of help with this question. This swap is not very common so a lot of people are not gonna be able to help you cause they never did this swap. I recommend you trying to find someone that has and then ask them all the questions you have. Don't expect everything to just drop in place and bolt up. Your gonna have to do a lot of cutting and rewelding.

thats allright i have a mill, TIG, MIG and a plasmacutter. what more do i neeed!
it would have been nice though if some one had already done it, and knew what what worked and what didn't .
