I just got my ITR rear section mated to 2.25" custom piping from the cat back. I am less than pleased with the exhaust. It looks clean as hell, but the sound of the exhaust is not what i expected. It sounds very very raspy, and i figured it would be quiet, but deeper than stock. Is there something wrong with the exhaust maybe?? Anyone else have the same problems? thanks.

 

you can check where the rear section is connected to see if there it is exhuast leak around where it was mated. another possiblity is that the fiberglass inside has torn apart.

did you put a resonater inbetween the cat and the rear section? i think there is one there on the stock exhaust!?!?!

 

No there is no resonator, i thought about getting one put on if it will quiet the rattle noise. I'll check for exhaust leaks when i get back down to my car.

 

no resonator will do that, get one installed (about $50-$70) an your raspines will go away.
trust me the resonateor makes a huge difference!

 

it gotta be the resonator. I have a full itr exhaust w/ the stock resonator and its great.....just a touch louder than stock.
