i have had the turbo in the car for the past week and had run ok but never was reaching full boost... i thought it was becuase i put 2 layers of fleace on the air inlet untill i can find a way to fit a real filter on... so we tryd it with just pantiehose tonihgt it went up to 5lb then at 5kRMP it just fell flat on it face and make a spudering sound... i tryd to ajust the smc500 but if i made it rich or leaned it out it would still do the same thing and always at 5k..... the only thing i could think of that might not be fine is the fpr might have a vacum leak but am not sure if it would cause it to do that....

has anyone had this problem?? or can think of what mihgt be wrong??

go to a shop and get it tune...

 

see that the only problem.... i have maybe 1 of 2 or 3 turbo gsr's in my city... and when i took it in the get the ic piping done they kinda looked at me funny... they now how to tune them as long as the are on big V8's

 

anyone got any ideas???

 

Does the sputtering happen at 5k & up or just at 5k?
