Default 1/4 mile track virgin no more in a 93 civic si

i went to the track today for the very first time, but i didn't race my own car. instead my friend was generous enough to let me run his car. before i show what my best time was here's what was done to the car and the conditions of the day:

-no passenger seat
-no rear passenger seats
-no spare
-shitty tires
-hot *** weather
-short ram intake
-stainless steel header
-no stock axle back exhaust

and here's what my best run was:

R/T ... .583
60' ... 2.496
330' ... 6.759
1/8 ... 10.359
MPH ... 67.77
1000' ... 13.502
1/4 ... 16.144
MPH ... 85.15

avg. out of like 12 runs was like 16.3 @ 85 MPH and 2.4 60' times

i know, i know my 60' time was shitty, but i just couldn't get the tires to grip

so what did everyone else run with their EG with a sohc turbo and mostly stock?

yea i would've. but it was hot as hell with a short ram intake and shitty tires. just a comparison of how shitty they were:

my other friend with an EG w/ a b18c1 swap pulled a 2.4 60' times too on the same exact tires as me. and he was a lot more experienced of a driver too.

and my other friend with an EK hb with a d16y8 swap consistently pulled 2.2 60' times on some ok tires. his best time was a 15.4 @ 87 MPH.

so yea, i think i could've pulled a best of 15.7

Bone-*** stock piggy 1993 EH3 with 250k on the odometer and no engine/tranny work ever: 16.7 @ 83 with a 2.44 60' on General Tires with 32 psi in them. No weight reduction, crippled tranny, bad clutch, probably poor driving .

I can see how a fresh(er) d16z6 in an I/H/E hatchy could hit mid 15's. Shouldn't be too bad.

Chiovnidca: You ran a 14.185 with a d16? What mods?

I have a 95 Ex coupe with I/H/E, V-afc,stripped interior...so I'd like to get an estimate of what I might be able to run.

Thanks

Not bad, did you run at PR?

My friend pulled consecutive 16.7s in his 95 EX coupe, which is comparable to a 93 SI, so I'd say you did pretty good.

Somewhere in the low-mid 15 range in the 1/4. Little lighter then stock and a few bolt-ons.
