d16y8 swap dying?
i have a 00 civic ex and am in the middle of an h22 swap at this moment. to help with the cost of the swap i decided to sell my motor and swap it into a 95 civic dx. the swap went off without a hitch. we used his old wiring harness, his distributor but everything else came from my car. the motor will crank and run no problem and if you putt arround in it no problems. but when you either rev it up or give put it in a strain (ie. going op a steep hill. ect.) the ignition cuts out. the check engine light flashes everytime that the ignition cuts out. has anyone done this swap before? if so what parts of the two cars did you use and did everything run smoothly or did you have problems as well.
any help would be greatly appreciated because i can't get back to my car until i get the money from this job. so i need to get this done tomorrow or at least my monday. thanks

WHat CEL codes are being flashed? What ecu are you using. If he has an Obd1 car, I believe you are supposed to use a P-28 from that generation EX/SI so Vtec works, etc
well the light will just flash and then go right back off so i don't konw what cel's are flashing. and for now we are using his computer and complete wiring harness. he doesn't have vtec yet but he needs his car back with or without it. i told him i would hook vtec up later after he bought the p28
