Default Strong gas smell :(

Hey everyone, have a problem. For the last couple weeks I thought I smelled a gas smell coming from the rear of my Car. Well today I verified it. Im getting a super strong gas smell from the driver side rear wheel well. Its not coming from gas cap either. I shined a light under the car and I dont see or feel any gas leaking from the tank. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I am about 90% sure its the gas tank cap now. Do they go bad in time? Like does the gasket leak in time? This unheard of?

Also Im having problems with my g2 Teg if anyone can help me out with that to!

Hey guys recently I have been having a problem starting my 93 Integra. It seems to start fine if the engine is cold. If I drive it for a bit and let it sit for a hour or so the car will just crank but wont start. I litterly have to crank it about 30 times and finally it will fire up. I am thinking about replacing the igniter. Anyone have any ideas before I blow my money? Thanks

If the gas cap is not the problem, then remove the plastic cover under under the car right where the hoses for the tank go. start the engine and see if any of the connections leak. About your teg, it sounds like a main relay problem. It doesn't sound like an ignitor problem.

I have this exact same problem, it happened after one of my injector seals broke... I replaced it, but it still has that smell!!! My fuel rail is NOT leaking at all, and it's not coming from my gas cap. Anyone have some other ideas?

Sometimes the seal on the fuel sender goes bad and what will happens is, when the air outside moves over your car it creates a low pressure inside the cabin (like driving with the sunroof open the air get's "sucked" out), this low pressure pull in air from where it can... I.E: vents, speakers, seals etc.

I have a smell of gasoline in my car when I drive with my sunroof open and I think I'm going to replace the seal/gasket on my fuel sender.

If I am going about things wrong.. someone please correct me before I start any work.
