need advice. whats the best way to go without spending alot of money for an ignition system that will automatically retard my ignition when i spray n20?

or is there a way i can do it without buying anything? how would having my ignition retarded like 2 degees all the time affect daily driving?

N2O on the other had is what you are talking about. i too need to know what people are using to get retarted.

 

I don't know that its answering your question but I took the easy route with an MSD dig6. It retards timing, and has a 2 stage feather touch rev-limiter.
I want to say cost was around $325

I should have asked as well. If you're planning on a 50 shot, no worries about timing. Anything more and you will need to.
60 shot ~-1*
70 shot ~-2*

 

75 and 100 shot here. direct port NX

also please tell me more about the digi 6. is it constantly retarded or does it only retard when you spray?
also does anyone know much about the JNMM??

 

Digital 6 is a constant retard once you set it.

couldnt you just hook your msd digital 6 up to a switch? so its retarded when you want? just flip it on when your gona shoot? or to a tps switch maybe? zex forsure and nx might sells a tps switch thing ment to activate your nitrous, would activating a msd while driving and on top of that spraying mess **** up?

i have no experience with msd ignition systems....

 

NX and Zex both use full throttle switchs, not sure how'd you wire a msd box in to that and even if you did if for some reason it didn't come on you might get a boom

 

well they both sell the tps voltage sensing unit, just get your msd its own and when your progming it push the pedal down almost all the way.. then it should come on right before you shot always... could work? if it did how safe would this be?

 

Some how you would need to train the ignition system to know when you hit Wide open throttle like the zex dry kit

 

i was talkin about, make a tps switch turn the msd on.. what would happen if you had your msd turn on while running?

man... theres gota be a easier way to do this ... how does having your ignition retarded say 2- 4 degrees affect normal performance anyways?
