Default Followup to the big HPDE communicator post ... and thanks to all HT Glen entrants!

First of all, thanks to all the Honda-Tech entrants who attended the NASA NE HPDE at the Glen. If you guys can get that kind of pack together again I am sure we can work a discount.

In any case, I was instructing using a cheap Nady Communicator. It works at first and then slowly the connections get screwed up. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. Although the Chatterbox seems a popular and effective alternative, in my search for a Nady replacement I found these:

Does anyone want to be the "guineau pig"? They appear to be designed for Rallying where communication is a matter of life and death. They seem well-built and are all by reputable companies. They are all also significantly cheaper than the Chatterbox and do not require modifications to your helmet.

Thoughts?

Shipping from Demon Tweeks is expensive. Only worth it when ordering in bulk.

umm... how much is 80GBP in dollars?

I've had both the nady and the chatterbox. neither of them is great. the newer nadys have thicker wires than the original model. The mini-DIN plugs on the chatterbox suck. both the nady and chatterbox headsets are too fragile for school use. in a MC or rally application where you put the headset in and leave it in they are probably fine, but the constant in and out of a DE breaks them in no time
