newbie in need of some help

Hi every1! I'm kind of knew to roadracing and was wonder about some events that maybe going on around my area. I'm just about 20mins north of San Diego. I dont know the rules to any events.. like solo II etc... I really dont know how to set my car up for it also... I have some mods already done but i dont know if its a good setup for autox..

I know i probaly sound stupid.. but i figure this might be a way to get some help.. If you guys can help me thanks.. my AIM is Ibejer.

Clarification:

Road Racing - Race track with wheel to wheel competition
Solo2 (Autocross) - Parking lot competitions with cones and you only compete against the clock.
