I installed 750lb springs on my car and it was rough but tolerable until over 80mph and above 100mph slight bumps got a little scary.

I have heard that with that high a spring rate the rear wheels have a good chance of losing contact with the road if you hit a large bump. I would say you can run them on the street, depending what the roads are like, and how you drive. Just get ready for a potentialy rough, and anoying ride, and if the roads suck, and you have no control over your right foot when on public streets then maybe you should reconsider.

I'd suggest to do as I did .. get a good set of coilovers with adjustable preload and just compress ( preload) the rear springs when you go to the track.

I have JIC FLTA-2 and they do a great job.

You get used to them in my daily driver. My 1st gen CRX is about 1800lbs with me in it and only 700 or so is on the back axle. I run 750 Ground control coilovers in the back. It sort of depends on how heavy your car is also.
