Default CRVT *stock* bottom end JUN III TUNED dyno!!! doubters beware!!!!

set up:
STOCK bottom CRV b20Z block
GSR head, mild PNP
GSR Plenum
Iceman intake (dirty filter)
JUN header (sold! finally!!!)
DSM 440 injectors
JUN III cams and valve train

you may remeber the thread "Guess the WHP, going to the dyno today" https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=595246
where we posted an un-tuned CRVT motor with JUN III cams on a STOCK bottom end.
Well kids, here's the TUNED version of the same motor!
152.3 torque
205.8 WHP

Yes, it's the same motor, no it's not a trick... Tuning was done by Modern Garage (thanks fellas!!! especially Court!!! )
Is this good enough for a simple motor? I will be adding a new intake plenum (current is STOCK GSR) and a new header (EF-1 10-90 header, custom made) With both mods in place we expect HP to increase by about 5-10 and torque to follow...
Those of you that are thinking about CRVT- here's proof that they can/do make power- and you don't need to rev high to get there. We will be conducting track testing this Sunday- low 12/high 11 second timeslips are expected!
*edit* untned 190ish whp and 130ish tq ran 12.6... with +20 on hp AND tq... I think we can hit the mark- car weighed in at 1950 w/o driver + 4 pt bar

Note- this winter will yield EF-1 Components, GSR crank/rods, and some better compression GOAL-275 whp 180 wtq (so another 70whp and 30ft/lb tq--- impossible?!?!!?

i dontget it...how come everyone on jun 3's make peak power at 85-87oo rpm...and u made that power at 7700 so u are saying that with just some rods and and better bearing ...if you would rev that block up to 9k...you would be in the area of 215 whp......thats bullshit!!!!........if 210+ whp was oo easy....everyone would get a crv block slap on a head and run jun 3's..........either its not a stock block or theres something going on........any questions or comments about my post email me at vtecdamian@aol.com

Completely STOCK bottom end (except we widened the valve reliefs for VTEC valves) Stock Headgasket, the block is 9.6 compression and weve got a GSR head so I'm guessing 10:1ish.. maybe a little lower, don't forget to factor in the comperession drop from the cams- which should bring us back down to 9.6:1 (funny how things work eh?)

.....thats bullshit!!!!........if 210+ whp was so easy....everyone would get a crv block slap on a head and run jun 3's they can!

Go put that thing on a Dyno jet 248c im sure it wont make that horse power it will make less because lately ive dynoed on a dyno pak meter and i made out rageous power so i went to a dryno jet and made like 22 hp less

What is it with some people anyway? It is quite obvious to most of us that all dyno's will give different results do to a relatively large number of reasons.

This thing is going to run low 12's on shitty slicks tomorrow at a 2,500+ plus elevation.

You are in a way saying it will be doing this on about 180whp?

The car has already gone 12.6 untuned and starved for fuel.

Would you like me to keep going....................?

Sweet! I dont know why people are doubting you, there is a dyno chart on import review with the same set up and it also put down 205whp.

i call bullshit. not that that kind of power isn't possible, just not with that set up. stock comp!!! stock gsr intake!!! and peak power is to low in the rpm range for jun 3's.

for the post... put it on a dynojet it will make less power!...the mustang dyno reads 15-25 whp less than dynojet 248c

Do you want a full tear down with pics or what? Give me a f-ing break. You obviously have no idea what you're tlaking about.

As if being stock wasn't enough the block came from a CRV that got towed while still in gear by some old ****** and compleately destroyed the head. The oil pan was taken off and the bearings were checked, there were still in somewhat good condition so it was put back together COMPLETELY STOCK, what's so hard to understand?

As for timeslips I am sure advanracing62 will gladley post them up.

The power is in the head. How much headwork and what is your compression with the mill?

Sorry to be answering all the questions for advanracing62 but...........

As stated prior it is a GSR head with a full set of stock B16 valves. We didn't even do a valve job when putting in the old B16 valves! I am not sure but I do not believe that the head has been milled at all, maybe just a clean up pass or soe=mething to that affect.

Headwork is minimal, no major portwork hear. Just some home porting to clean up under the valve seats and remove some of the castings. Then just some minor work to the ports and there you have it.
