When doing a mini me is it a must to change the distro on the A6 to the y8?

I've wired the harness up and the stock distro sparks can i just leave it because it fits in the y8 head perfectly.

Or do i have to use the y8 distro?

My issue is i've wired the harness to accept a odb1 ecu and removed the resistor pack and installed new injectors yet the injectors dont work. i was wondering if it was because the ecu wasnt reading the crank angle sensors.. etc in the distro plug correctly.

i believe you still need the injector resistor box when u go obd1..you might wanna put tha back in before you fry ur injectors. And you do have to use a z6 dizzy if u went obd1. Ur dizzy's obd has to match ur ecu's obd...

 

you must use the obd0 (a6/si) distrbuter the teeth on the crank angle sensor are different.
