Default ls turbo or gsr turbo

which is a better investment, which will probably cost more to build/maintain?

600 HP!!! that'll make me want a turbo ls too!!! but anyway gettin back to the question at hand, i'd say gsr turbo, but thats only becauce I cant wait to boost the hell outta my gsr motor in my 91 hatch. 11's here I come, weeeeeeeeee!!!!

thanks for that link.... stock gsr internals and the compression is ok to run ...say 48 psi with out blowing anything. well granted i put it together right. not even bigger injectors? nothing.
all i want is to run stock boost, if this is safe can i expect 13's on street tires?..just wondering actually if you have this set up let me know how thats going.

If you mean 4 psi, sure, 8 psi, pushing it, 48 psi... even fully built good luck. Remember there is no "stock" boost on these engines, they all must be equipped properly for turbo to do it correctly.

48 psi? ha. darton sleeves will only let you push 40 max. and they can handle 1000 hp. the safest i say you could go with sleeves is about 30

First off that ls is not even really a stock ls engine any more. Its a 2.0 and boosting 35 psi. So those numbers really don't mean anything. I would go with the gsr if money is not a problem.

The thing that matters most is engine management, and if it is a quality turbo kit u are using.

Im sorry, but 600 HP would be unusable. I would NEVER want that much power unless I had a drag only car.

Either way you go, you'll make good power.

im actuallyt looking for what it takes to get anywhere in the 12's on street tires.
any one know some sure fire setups that would warrant those times ?..i may be wrong but a gsr turbo pushing 6 psi through (t3/t4) in a gutted hf crx should run in th 13..? i could be wrong, after all ths is my first honda...please inform me. i would post a pic of my car but im kinda dumb on these computers and havent figured out how to yet. one of these days.
