Well I'm looking to buy a Header for my 001 GSR. This friend of mine has a 00 ITR and he is going Turbo. He is selling his Header for $200. Will it fit the GSR or will it need to be modify. I know the 01 GSR Header O2 Sensor is different from the 98 to 2000 Headers. Any help will be appreciate. Thanks.

 

it will fit - if its a JDM style w/2.5 inch collector, you'll need a custom cat otherwise it will fit

The header is a DC Sport NOT JDM Style, need so help on this one!!!!!!!!!!!

it fits!!!!!!!!!!!! the the two headers are the same!!!!!!!! Comptech sells the SAME header for 94-01 LS, 00-01 GSR and ITR's. Does it answer your question? maybe I need to be more straight forward, yes the O2 sensor is in the same place!

 

if you still do not believe everyone, go to Comptech's site and look at the part number for the headers.............

 

Isn't the type-r version shorter than the GSR one. So you will have to re work your exhaust system to make it work. Or buy a different Cat.

I am not sure if i am right about this one, Someone correct me if i am wrong.

I hate t beat on a dead horse again, but when I was trying to buy a header for my 01 GSR it was told to me that the O2 Sensor of the 2001 GSR was bigger than the one from 94-00 GSR. And that really the question, the size of the O2 Sensor.

Changing this theme a little bit, is the Comptech header better than the DC Sport one? Thanks
