How the heck do I paint my rockers
Just rewelded basically a whole new body on my civic....problem is that certain parts couldnt be painted before the weld (paint catches fire)....one of those parts is the inside of the rocker.....other part is the inside of the suspension mount. I need some ideas as to how to protect these parts from corrision. Cause the car has been chilling in my garage for a few weks and the bare metal is allready covered in corrision....I dont wanna have to do this over again.
I was thinking of injecting tar inside the rocker to give it a raly good thick coating...problem is dispersing the tar....same problem with any form of paint. I will get it rustproofed...but I'd still rather have more than just oil covering my delicate steel.

I wouldnt' use oil...it will come off in time..
Use some of the rust proofing stuff they sell for cars that live in the snowy areas..
