hey whats up? ive had my hatch for about 4 months and im dying to swap it already. How long did you go with your stock motor and what did you swap in? im 16 and funds for a swap arent exactly that high so im either going with the JDM D15B VTEC or an LS motor. how long did it take you to get your motor?

 

I ordered the motor 2 months after buying my hatch. I didn't swap it until 2 months after receiving the motor.

Why'd you wait so long to swap if you already had the motor?

 

4 years....

 

9 years. Bought the hatch in 93 with 12 miles on odo. Stock CX motor finally took a **** 9 years later coming home from college. IAS saved me.

WOW you drove on the stock CX motor for 9 years?! I've had my CX for 1 month and I've only driven it twice - once taking it home from the shippers and the second time getting the VIN confirmed at the DMV and I can't wait till I swap it.

 

Never,, I dont need DOHC to make power,,lol

 

It took me 3 months to get my Ls swap and I got my mild set up gsr in a week before nopi.

 

Drove it for 3 months (92 cx), driving it away tomorrow with an LS swap

 

i drove my hatch for one day before i put in my first gsr...the only reason i bought the car was to put the motor in it.

 

bought eg in august of 2002
bought b16 in august 2002

sold eg in may 2003

bought ek in june 2003
bought b18c1 in september of 2003

 

2 years, mini me was swapped before i swapped to b series though. head gasket and tranny went. so i bought a wrecked usdm gsr the same year as my civic for $3200 and swapped everything down to interior and brakes and suspension.

 

Bout a week here.

 

i jus picked one up this tuesday, and i might swap it this upcoming weekend. the stock vx motor is too slow for me and i hate the look of that intake manifold its so puny.

 

I did mine a little backwards. I bought an ITR swap and was gonna put it in my 2000 si but then thought about it and went hatch hunting.

im 21 i've had my swap since i was 16. it might help to say that i bought the car from my cousin who swaped it already

I had a 95 Si at the age of 16. It got stolen all stock two months after I bought it.I the had my Del Sol Si for two years before I got tired of it. Every bolt on and even some headwork Sold that and bought a rolling chassis hatch. I put a 99 USDM B20B4 w/ a 00 JDM ITR tranny in it two weeks after the chassis was bought. Got it registered and rolling on the July 5th, 2003. And I'm 18 and a freshman in college.

ALL THE CARS AND MODS WERE BOUGHT AND DONE BY MEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

 

well i know if they write off my car today, i will have swapped the b18c1 into the new car before i even drive it

 

I had my car for about a year, but never really worked on it. I started working on it around 4 months ago and getting ready to do a swap

 

i drove my cx hatch for 6 monthes and did a d16z6 swap, i was very happy with the motor

 

i just put rims and springs on my car as soon as i got it. then i just saved up for a b16. took me about 6 months before i put it in

 

Almost two years now. I suck.
