Is 2.5 exhaust too much?
I've got 2 1/2 exhaust with a flowmaster muffler, I'll soon be getting a dohc Zc and going NA with it. Someone told me that 2.5 will cause backpressure problems robbing power from the engine, is this true?
Seems like a lot to a ZC for me.. But I run 2.5" with my B16. Exhaust gases must be flowing pretty good at 8,200rpm and 2.5" seem to be pretty standard with most B series.
But with D series I never really see too many people with 2.5, they usually chose 2.25" unless perhaps there is some forced unduction going on.

Go 2 1/4" To much exhaust flow is not good either, Depending on your setup, Going to big can actually decrease power.
I ran 2 1/2" mandral bent exhaust on my ZC and it wasn't a problem (I was planning to boost). while you might lose a little torque (like Honda's have it anyway) you will gain a little HP in the top end.
