Just installed USDM Mugen Header
Just installed it this morning. Install was easy enough, but when it came to bolting the header to the cat it seems like its a little too short. I've tightened the flange bolts as far as they can go, but I can still see part of the gasket. It looks like if it were longer about 1/4 inches it would be ok.
Any suggestions? I'm still using the stock cat and cat-back system.

i am currently using the usdm header with the mugen exhaust..it didnt seem to have any kinda flaws...too short..long ect. i never put the header on the stock exhaust..so maybe get the twin loop now.. later.. miles
MugenR, so I guess that means you are still using the stock cat too?
It looks like I won't be able to buy the Mugen twin loop until the end of September.

Sorry, I can't really help because I don't have the USDM header... Just wondering, why did you choose to get a USDM header if you plan on replacing the exhaust eventually too? You could have gotten JDM versions of those same parts at no extra cost through King.
I got the USDM header because I decided not to touch the internals of the engine (springs, retainers, cams, etc..) I'm just doing the basic I/H/E and the rest will be suspension or cosmetic mods.
The butt dyno feels more umph now that the header is on.
