Ahahahaha... This CRX was the ultimate impulse buy. I'm only planning on keeping it for a couple months to learn to drive stick well. Last night was my first stick driving experience... I had my girlfriend in my car, we both knew the GENERAL idea of how to drive stickshift, but no one actually knew it's execution. We drove to one of my friend's houses who lives in the country, I killed the car like 10 times. :X I have got upshifting down, but I have NO CLUE how to downshift.

I'm looking in to getting custom plates like BY BYE V8 or something really stupid like that The CRX is going to be my rice-mobile.

That is, until next spring when I trade it for an ITR (Already have one lined up! Can't wait!!)

Now, here comes why I am posting this in this forum instead of the other ones... The ITR guys generally seem to be the smartest when it comes to mods and such.

What kind of "free" mods can I do out of the box, the CRX is completely stock, some old lady owned it. Does anyone have any idea what the power/torque curve looks like? It redlines at 6.5, but it doesn't seem like it gives power after like 4,000 RPM (no vtec in 91's ) Anyway, what kind of little things can I tweak to gain a couple free horsepower?

Since my CRX is turning in to an ITR, I'm pretending it's an ITR. It's a fast car, I swear...

 

LOL....nice car. I am sure you will like the Type R much better! But as far as the CRX goes you dont have a good power plant in my mind. Dont spend any money on it. Save up for goodies on your R. If you really want to spend money on the CRX to make it a little faster i would probably get it serviced at the local dealership and get it tuned

i would probably drop 2g's and swap a b16a-or b18c5 in there-you'd have a blast,sell it and pick up a R

 

true-true,cant argue w/you there,but my friend did swapped his si for a b16a,then swapped insome new cams,now he's got a little beast he's pretty pleased that i think after that - is the only way to go in those little cars
