I've gotten a few requests for pictures of this header so here they are. This will be going on Jerry Birchmore's ITA/H4 CRX.
It ultilizes a flex joint like most Honda A pipes. Fits without modding the cross member and I believe A/C works with this header. I just haven't tried it since all of these to date have gone on road race cars.

But up close the welds are so tight it generally looks like the metal just grew together. Much neater than the Comptech on my Civic. Not your usual production line work, by any means.

What are we noticing? I examined the pictures for around 20 minutes, and the best that I can come up with is that the tubing bends and the collector flange look like they possibly could be from DC Sports. Was this another "hybrid" piece?

hint: interior of collector
I'll get some of the installed pictures up soon.
Padawan - the tubing bends and the collector flange look like they possibly could be from DC Sports.
No, to my knowledge DC doesn't make this size collector for a D series.

Hard to see for me in the pictures too, but look at the closeup of the collector end.
It has a stinger in the collector, similar to this:
but the stinger is formed of 90deg triangular sections of the exhaust runner that are bent together and welded, eliminating the need for a slipfit of the runners over an expensive and hard to fit stinger collector.
BTW the runners are all custom bent and the flange and collector are to SMSP specs, no "hybrid" of other's stuff.

It was difficult to tell how big the collector was from the photo. The bends and collector flange looked similar to the DC JDM 4-1, so I thought perhaps you had used certain parts from one of those, similar to what you did with the prototype H22 with the OEM ITR 4-1.

Dave,
Do you have any future plans of building an "autox" header for the D-series motors? I think you'd have a large market if you did.
I like this one, but I'm wondering how the mid range torque would be. The DC 4-2-1 does a pretty good job, but I'm sure you could improve upon it.
