check out g2ic.com in the teg tips section for engine swap.. its really simple swap just use your wireharness, injectors, distributor and get a non odb pr3 ecu.. you can now use the type r hydrolic tranny in cable tranny cars thanks to hasports new cabel to hydro kit..

As for that hasport hydro tranny conversion,
Does it work for g2 da's or just ef series?
cause I called hasport last week concerning that conversion and I don't know if the sales rep did not understand me correctly but said that it would only work in ef chassis?
Unless the guy thought I was talking about trying to fit the ef mount kit!
Well if anyone knows about this please post.
I will call again though and ask again just to make sure.

As for the itr swap.......hope it all wrks well!
Post some pix when u get her all done.

Using pre-1992 stuff simplifies the swap. But it is neither the cheapest nor the best way to go. A MUCH better way to go is to use the 1996+ JDM P73 ITR ECU. This ECU will work perfectly with the injectors and distributer on any ITR motor, USDM or JDM. But a pre-1992 PR3 requires both a 1G JDM B16A distributer (an LS distributer will not bolt to a VTEC head), and injectors (The LS injectors are peak and hold and only 240cc/min. ITRs use saturated injectors that flow 270cc/min). The JDM P73 ECU is not too hard to wire up. Although it uses OBDII plugs, it is basically just an OBDI ECU. It is no more difficult to wire up in your car than a 1992-1995 ECU. And it will not require expensive reprogramming. You can either do the ECU plug conversion yourself. Or you can buy a converter from Hasport.
