I investigated this about a year or two ago. I really don't think it would be that hard. As long as one really intends to race the vehicle. My main question is how much do the authorized importers charge? Even if you go over, buy it, arrange shipping, have everything prepared. This is the step i didn't take. I do believe they list the customs importer per state. There are a few in Seattle. The biggest thing is that the SCCA no longer allows right hand drive vehicles. If you don't run SCCA who cares, i suppose. I think it is crap, but oh well. I wish i knew one person who has done this. Has anyone here (H-T) imported a race car before? We all know its been done. Could be interesting!

I think Kiwi does with a RHD ITR. I talked to him about it a few months ago, but it wound up not working out. I wanted to track an imported car, but I don't think it fits into any classes (Impreza 22B or something similar).
