Nope. Tried that and failed in EG/Civic, ITR and RR/auto-x. I might be missing something unless "dunlop FM 901" aren't useful keywords.

WTF keywords did you use?!?!?! Maybe "dunlop" was throwing it off.
Here I am reading f#cking google searches from Australian sites and you find it here under my nose.
Thanks

It's amazing how subjective this crap is. Some people say it's a great tire, others say it's too squirmy, blah, blah, blah...
I dunno. Nice wide tread blocks and a 200 treadwear seem to say "grippy" to me. My other substitute is the ES100, but those specs don't seem as aggressive to me. Hmm.
Looks like I have some decisions to make.

Sadly, the Azenis are completely out of the question--potentially scary in the rain, too wide for my offset (rub) and until I get another beater, I'd wear through them in 6 months w/ my commute.
BTW, I already have Pilot Alpins for the snow--they rock

I like my FM 901's.....I went with them over the azenis b/c i wanted more wet traction which turned out to be a good idea with all the rain we've had. Tread has held up very well. Everyone has different opinions. Before i got mine i read about people complaining about road noise, but from my experience you can hear a little hum when you first get them and then it goes away. Also, i would tend to agree with the side walls being a little soft and even though i havent auto-x'd them yet, on and off ramps have been my testing grounds.
.......I would consider another set for next summer.

Availability. They are impossible to get ahold of in 205/50-15. My current tires are completely shot to the point that they aren't very safe in rain. So I need SOMETHING

I assume you want cheap, so go w/ ES100 and be done w/ it. S-03 or proxes T1-S if you need something a bit better that is wet weather friendly.
