Default Yum Yum, JDM stuff and more... (Lots of pictures)

My friend just got back from Japan today. Look what she brought me...

Check out those JDM center caps and the rare clear side markers which fit the JDM front.

Oh yeah! I'm sure I will be hated for having this. The offical Honda integra/type R book. And also the new HyperRev style integra book featuring the new R!

Oh yes, I gotta have my skyline stuff. The 1 hyperRev mag that I don't have and also the new skyline offical book featuring the VspecII!!! to add to my other book I have.

Here's more killer offical books on the evo and wrx.

More impreza books

Some of the info on from the offical honda R book!

Plus some more pictures from it...

and more new R vs. old R

A few engine specs...

and more new R vs. old R...

Yeah I tought that you would like that! Anyway, I will scan the whole book once I get this stuip scanner working on my computer. Also I will be going to Jap. mid Sept. if all goes well. I got a killer deal on this trip, so we'll see...

I already got those. However I heard that their is this other mag which is all about the type R track events that honda outs on. Kinda like our US Velocity mag. I'm gonna try to get that when I'm their.

I belive the 2nd week. I want to attend the ALMS race on the first weekened, then after that I think I'm gonna go till Sept 16 or so. I figure a week their should do the trick. Anyone know about taking loans out from the bank for car parts? lol
I'm gonna try to bring back as much stuff as possible. My friends uncle their owns a dealership and is able to get most OEM items at cost plus also has connections with spoon, etc... So we'll see. I'm figuring that I will bring back around 5 bags myself, plus others...

Mike,

I hope you are exaggerating. If you try to bring back 5 bags of car parts, US Customs will have a freakin field day.

The personal exemption for goods purchased abroad is USD 400; you can fudge that a little, but I would be careful not to get greedy.

Yeah from what I found out is that I'm allowed to take 3 bags per person. My friend will take my two other bags so I will have 5 total. As for the cost, well I can fudge that a little! Also her uncle might have contacts for a crate that gets sent back and forth to the US, so I might just us that. I'll probally have more details later this week. As for the $400, we'll people have brought back JDM seats without too much problems.

Mike..

Sorry I didn't answer your e-mail ...been getting tons of mail from this groupbuy thing.... yeah...whenever you get here give me a ring...maybe we can all meet up at Super Autobacs...I need to get a dyno soon.

Are you going to go all the way down to Mie to the Top Fuel Garage? I went there about 2 years ago. It took 4 hours to get there from Yokohama. If the owner is there, its pretty cool 'cuase he's got a kick *** car, but otherwise its a pretty boing place.

sounds good to me! But yeah I would like to go to the top fuel garage if possible. I need to check out some stuff and maybe pick up some items from them.
Yeah hopfully the owner will be their. When I talked to him last (a few months ago) he said that if I come by, he would give me a ride in the R since I been working with them for so long. Anyway, yeah I'm sure you know all the cool places to go, so that will help. I think that with the 3 of you (my friend Mai, you and Dave SiR) we will have no problem getting around.
I also want to check out the Yokohama bridge action at night! I heard its killer! This trip is like a life time dream of mine, so I want it to be great! Not to mention that I will be able to check out your JDM R! hahahahah

Only if you could come to Japan in Oct ..it'd be sweet...you've got the Tokyo Motor show coming up where the New NSX is suppose to debut along with Toyota's new Super Car and possibly the S2000 Type R.

Not to mention the install of my turbo kit

yeah I wish I could get out their for it then! However I have class practally everyday in Oct. Maybe if I took a day off say Friday and Monday and left Thurs night, I would be able to be their Friday, Sat, and Sun and come back Monday. However I doubt that it would work well. Either it will be mid-Sept. or maybe Dec. But I would rather go now! I'll let you know!
