does someone have to be in the car pressing down on the clutch while i adjust?
hows it work... i removed the cable because i was organizing my engine swap it was all ghetto after making it all pretty ima put back the cable for the tranny but i dunno where to put it where its 100% perfect.

i assuem your talking about the clutch cable, pull the arm up till it stops, adjust the cable right up to the point where it stopped, maybe like a inch of play
Follow the clutch cable. Then where it meets the tranny there is a little thing you can turn to adjust where the clutch engages. I think thats what your talking about. Just play with it and then get in your car and test it out. I'm pretty sure all the way at the top mean your clutch engages at the floor.
at first i thought you meant how to adjust the pedle presure....but are you talking about where the clutch will engage? you just have to **** around with it, from what i can gather it all depends on your clutch/fly wheel set up and how new/worn it is
The free play on the clutch pedal should be approximately 1 inch before you feel pressure of disengaging the clutch. Too little and the clutch will slip, Too much and the transmission may grind. I always check my free play with the engine running. it is about 0.2 inches at the transmission end of the cable. You should be able to pull up on the cable hosing and it should move about 0.2 inches.
