ok finished my f22 to h23 swap in my prelude, its turbo. when I drive the car it cuts out and sputers at 4500 rpm. when I shift the bov sounds weak. I think I'm around 5 psi. its hard to tell, cause when the turbo should kick the bucking and sputering kicks in. and the car is over heating tough. I only drove the car maybe a mile, and its over heating. it so hot you can't tough the valve cover. anybody have any ideas? oh yea, one more thing when I rev the car up and let off the gas the rpms wanna hang there, than it will drop back to normal. thanks ray
Geez, it could be a million things, anything from vacuum leaks to forgetting to put oil in it. Better do a "time out" and really go over everything again.
Okay Just a thought about Turbo H23's. Others will know for sure. But do you have to do anything with the secondary Butterfly valves on the intake mani?
Your over heating - Does the fan turn on? Do you have plenty of coolant? I would do a flush first off and try to make sure there are no air bubbles in the system. Make sure your thermostat is opening. Make sure your fan is turning on.

the black vaccum tank that controlls the butter flys broke, and I don't have the plug for it solenoid. so I left the butter flys unpluged from vaccum. so I will plug the butter flys to the intake manifold. let them wide open. and for the coolent I filled it up with 2 gal, I think I might have air in the system, cause when I opened the radiator the coolent looked like gel, it had a lot of tiny air bubbles in it. but the fan does turn on. How would I get all the air out? thanks, Ray
you did mix the coolant with water right? Does it always look like it has bubbles? Or just after you filled it.
IIRC if the hose that goes into the little control valve thing is not connected the butterflies will be open as you would want them to be.

Yeah I didn't even think of that. Maybe your blowing out the spark. Check your plugs too. Good call
