Please help me fix my car!!!!!!!
OK I'm in serious need of help right now. Billy you out
there?????????
I replaced my TEIN pillowball mounts with the factory ones and while
putting everything back together I ran into trouble. For some reason
the hub knuckle won't go back into place so I can't get the upper
ball joint back through the knuckle. I had the same problem on both
sides but after fighting with it for a while the passenger side went
back in place and everything was cool. However no matter what we
try, do, or wiggle we can't get it back togther. It feels like the
axle has gotten longer?????? Maybe something happened with the CV
joint itself? I'm dying, I have a new job on Monday and in NJ you
can't rent a car on Sunday so tomorrow is do or die. Has anyone run
into this before? If so how do I fix this?
Please help!!!!!!!
It is hard to tell by just a description. If it is the axle, you would not be able to push the top of the spindle inwards toward the upper arm. If that is the case, you should be able to push it in (axle).
Well it seems like I extended a CV joint too far and now it won't go back in place. Sun gave me some good advice on how to get it back together but I have no clue how to break the torque of the axle shaft bolt on the rotor. I don't have any air tools to work with...actaully we have the tools but no compressor. So I'm trying to figure out how to take this all apart in my friends driveway. Any help on this would be appreciated.
