Does anyone know if the Ones (Front Radius Rod Bearings ) from a 88-91 CRX fit the 92 integra? Progress only lists it for the CRX I need a SET ASAP. Someone has to know this? Im sure all the CRX guys are running this so i need your help. THANX in advance.
Yes, they fit I have them on my 93 GSR.
The OPM kit is heavy for it's size and could be made of much lighter materials, also the spherical bearings as sold in the OPM kit are low quality but easly replacable when they wear out.
The disadvantage of the Progress kit is they do not use standard spherical bearings so you will likely need to purchase the entire units when the bearings wear out.
The OPM radius rod bearings

The Progress radius rod bearings on the left, control arm bearing on the right.

If you are not rules impared these appears to be a better set up to me. I like the perpendicular loading on the sperical bearings and the adjustability with out shims on the radius rod between the rod shoulder and bearing.

That is correct, the inner crossmember bushing flange, but you see the size of the bolts, very easy to do with the crossmember out of the chassis.

SO the OPM unit is good but heavy and is complete?
ANd the Progress unit is made better with better material and the bearing is hard to find but they sell berings separate?
And those radius arms look great but Im sure they are not SCCA/ITA or NASA/H4 legal.
So the best choice right now for me is the progress unit.

Ok so they they sell the bearings, but point is they do not appear to be standard spherical bearings so the only place you likely will find them is through Progress where the OPM bearings can be purchased from any decent bearing house.

Im sure if you go to a bearing shop I know of one here in the LA area and have him measure the bearing he can get you one of those cheaper than Progress sells just the bearing for. I will try to find his number and post it here. If youd like.

How often are you seeing the OPM units "wear out?" Mine have been on the car for some 36 races and I don't believe we've had to change these yet. Tie rods yes, ball joints yes, hubs yes, drive shafts yes, wheel bearings yes^n but if we've lost a radius rod end in that time, I do not recall it.
Fail not very often, but I personally don't enjoy slop in my suspension components. New from OPM the bearings had play in them and after one Solo season they are unacceptable and need to be replaced before they fail

Unfortunately, I've never found an English site for them. You can try running the page through here: http://world.altavista.com/
It's in no way perfect (and sometimes quite incomprehensible), but it may give you the gist of what they're trying to say.
These guys import them: http://www.aj-racing.com/
Don't have the manufacture specific page up, but they can probably answer questions on it.

Ecxellent pictures and comparisons, Marc.
Any feedback on the control arm bearings from progress? Are they durable? Worth the $$$$ they cost?
I have an IT CRX, and am seriously considering them. My poly front control arm bushings won't last, plus I'm sure there's room for improvment.
Thanks,
Jon

http://www.Rcrewracing.com in san francisco also deals with A-sports directly and imports their parts.

db1-r81, were you referring to the opm kit only? or do in fact these a-sports radius rods work as well for the 93 gsr? i think these are listed for the crx/ef, but do they in fact bolt up without any modifications? i just wanted to clarify with you--thanks!
