my stupid civic just will not start. when i turn the key, i hear the pump turn on and it just wont turn over.

please help me, i have basketball practice tomorrow

check if the starter plug IS PLUGGED IN...omg that happend to me like twice already...my car would turn on but it wont crank untill i found out that it was the starter plug that was unplugged.

Anyway, what exactly is going on? Does the starter actually spin the motor or does it just sound like its freewheeling? Does it spin but just doesnt actually fire up? Have you checked if your motor is getting spark to the plugs? Have you checked if it is actually getting fuel to the injectors? What have you done to the motor recently?

gee golly! sorry guys, I have a 95 Civic Ex 5 speed VTEC. It is factory, no cool exhaust set up or intake piping. It has been working normal but all of a sudden it doesn't start. I just got a new batter last year!

 

do you have gas?

Where is the starter? Is that where I put the key?

How do I check if it is getting sparked?

The injectors should have fuel, I just filled up 2 days ago and I think my gas gauge is working

I haven't done anything to the engine, I did engage VTEC the other day. That was Fast!
