Default How hard is it to install 1992 Accord Distributor?

Like many Accords out there my distributor is making squeaking noise when idling or hot. My mechanic recently installed a new ignitor chip for me, he also suggested to change the distributor as well. But he wanted $450 - 500 for it. Is this something I can install myself? or should I just pay the $$$$. Ebay has brand new distributor units for under $200.

Thanks.

it is easy to do just remove the 3 12 mm bolts and unplug it the new one will only go in one way so you dont have to worry too much .... once the new one is installed set the timing and your done ... a 15-20 minute job only tools needed are 8mm socket or nutdriver 12mm wrench and a timing light

Wow! my mechanic was gonna charge me $150 for it. Geesh... what a rip-off. Btw, how do you know your timing is set right?
