perfect starter bike? cruiser or street bike?
Thinking about getting into riding but I'm a lil concerned about the safety issue and learning curve. I heard cruisers are safer but I would rather have something faster and sportier... but I have never ridden so I need to start somewhere... what do you all suggest I get if I've never ridden before?
I posted in your other topic, but here goes again:

If you've got a bad back, then you should get a cruiser or something that's not too sportsbike-like. But otherwise, you should look into getting a used sportbike. Their riding positions are generally less extreme.
There's always a risk involved in riding. It's just like opening your front door and looking outside...there's always a risk!! But you do what you can to minimize those risks - familiarizing yourself with the bike and it's handling capabilities, as well as your own capabilities.

MSF course for you -
You spending some time doing research before asking questions such as these...
You being a dead squid because you failed to listen to experienced riders -
