Why is it that so many Toda/JUN cars are running low 14's at the track? Is it driver? Is it that they're not tuned? What? I saw one guy in LA with a Toda B setup run a 14.2 and he was pushing about 195whp he said. Seen high 13's out of a JUN car making like 200whp. I dont get it. What puts these cam setups into the mid/low 13's?

Tony has high compression ENDYN pistons almost 12:1, fully ported head, hitech exhaust, he has quite a bit of money into his car. Once you get up to the 190 and up range you need slicks to get that power to the ground.

 

It could be weight? That is a main factor at drag races, even more so than Horsepower.

A stock motor ITR can hit low 14s with weight reduction.

 

On radials I ran a 13.2 @ 105mph this weekend and this was in the River City Raceway import streetcar shootout. Hopefully on slicks I will be able to pull off a high 12 sec pass!!!

 

Which CAMS set-up do you have in you motor?

What RPM's are you lanching from too?

 

I am running the Crower 64302a's and a 75 shot from Zex. I ran the 13.2 with out the cams hopefully in a couple of weeks I will be able to run the car with the new cams!
