Default walbro 255hp intank pump install on an 02 Accord Ex

Planning for boost and was about to buy a intank 255hp fuel pump today, but there is no install kit for it. I put a call into walbro to see if it's just not needed for the 02 accord 4cyl but didn't get to talk to the tech support guys. I got a call into a few shops, and dealer, but would like to know if anyone here has installed one on a 02 4cyl accord.

I installed the Walbro 255lph fuel pump into my '99 Accord. Its fairly simple. Underneath the trunk covering is a silver circle.. .theres about 3 or 4 bolts and you unscrew those. Underneath there there is a black cap with a few bolts and electrical harnesses... unconnect those and the fuel pump is right beneath there... just plug and play... BTW i have a '99 Accord LX Sedan 4cyl.

Dumb question, did you use the install kit? Whats the big deal with the install kit anyway?

the install kit provides new hose clamp, hoses and filter bag for the new pump.

so if that's all, I need to find out from walbro why they don't have one for my ride. Seems like getting a hose clamp and hose shouldn't be too hard

I have an 01 accord and I used the Walbro 255 pump for an RX-7. They are all pretty much the same. The universal one will probably fit too.

I called back today, and it seems like the pumps are not universal? Or at least that's what they were trying to explain to me. The lady was trying to explain how each pump is different for different sets of years which doesn't make since to me.

it should make some sense to you.. take for instance the fact that for accords 90-93, 94-97, and 98-02 shoudl be different.

i dont know how much different they are, but think about it that way

I was thinking about the way that the clutch hasen't changed since something like 94, so if they can do that, then the same could be done for the fuel pump.

This is really pissing me off, because I need a fuel pump for my boost setup and can't seem to find any other alternative

get a extra fuel line, or you have to cut your oem one, it's little bit too long.
TAKE OFF THE FU_KING BATTERY FIRST

yes, i had it for my turbo setup(had )

it's very easy, just like the dude said before..

1)take the battery off
2)take out the carpet off the trunk, along with the board.
3)you gonna see the a silver pad, remove all three screws.
4)lift the whole assembly out, then you gonna see couple of connectors, remove those.
5)then you can see the actual body of the pump assembly, it's black and you need to remove all 8 screws(6or 8??)
6)get some clean cloth ready, then lift the whole thing out, let it drain a little bit.
7)now you have the whole thing out(it's still has alot of fuel inside), place it on cloth and you should see the pump.
8)disconnect the connector(in the center of the whole thing), then take out the white clip on the bottem(that white thing secure the actual pump)
9)lossed the ss clamp(do it with a needle nose) and pull the pump out(silver sh_t, smaller than the walbro one)
10)you gonna trim the fuel line alittle, it's too long for the walbro pump.
11)pump everything back, dont play, throw, drop the pump assembly or it's gonna be f-cked.
12)reverse the step and make sure everything is tight fitted, no leak, etc
13)listen to the pump when the key is in the ign.(it should be louder, if there's no noise, SOMETHING'S WRONG)
