Default weak rears, how to make stronger

im looking into gettin a s2000 very soon, and i always hear about how they have weak rears, i intend on taking to the strip some times not alot but it will go and i dont wanna mess up the rear, my question is what can i do to make the rear stronger so it can be more reliable and stronger and able to take the abuse, i was intending later to get gears/clutch/and a flywheel, what else should i ad to the list

Why are you buying an S2000 to drag race?? Here, if your good driver, you'll run a 14.1 or 14.0.
It's not built for drag racing.
Furthermore, why does the rear end have such a bad reputation? Like any other part in a car, don't abuse it, it will last, even with spirited driving. but don't drop your clutch at 5000+ RPMs and you'll be fine.

Comptech sells a reinforced diff. As far as upgrading the clutch, a grabbier clutch will put more stress on the rear end.

im not buying it to drag race, im just saying that i am goin to take to the strip at least a couple times, and so if a grabbier clutch is bad ill just get the copmtech reinforced rear just to be safe, i dont like **** breaking, i mean im not buying an s2000 to drive it like a sissy old woman im gonna take it to track events autox and the strip somtime and dont want stuff to break so i figure upgrade/fix it now when i have the time and money instead of later when it just breaks and i dont have the time or money to fix it

Fair enough, I'm not implying your gonna drive it like a sissy.
You can beat on a stock S2000 and not need a whole new rear-end to do so though. There is a fine line between beating on your car and being abusive to your car. If your gonna be abusive, then yea, get the upgraded rear end.
Good luck to you.

My brother has made 100+ 7500 rpm clutch drops in his s2k with victoracer v700's on. No diff issues, no clutch issues. If you're leaving it stock you probably don't need to replace either. If you're going fi then start worrying about the clutch and diff

Actual sidestep style clutch drops or more of the clutch feathering? I'm just curious because that's impressive if his car has held up to those kind of drops.

straight up drops, never an issue yet. At 7500 rpm you lose traction for about 12", but it picks it back up really quick. (On the victoracers. On the p-02's he launched at 5500)

I'm so sick of hearing this car is not a drag car. Is any Honda car really a drag car? Just cause people dont track their s2000 doesnt make them a bad person if they want to drag it let them be.

No problemo. Us S2000 owners are much nicer to eachother.
