Default oil burn?

I have a 91 prelude and if I stay stopped for to long at stoplights etc. I start to go a huge puff of white smoke comes out the exhaust everytime and it smells horrible. Is it my valves, rings? Anyway to fix the problem. It suxs when you start to go and you see some drivers about pass out from the smell.

you must have the smoke screen option.

Could be rings, could be head gasket, it's hard to say. Did you try a compression check yet?

Usaully if it is white smoke it is a blown headgasket, a blueish smoke is piston rings.

white smoke = burning coolant
bluish-white = burning oil

if it is white smoke the headgasket would be my first guess.
