where is the 4ws fuse located in a 1994 prelude?
i'm looking at the fuse diagram for the kick panel fuse panel. the 4ws steering fuse is on the map, and is shown to be in the upper left corner. the problem is i dont see it in the actual fuse panel. it's a 10 amp. any help will be appreciated. thanks.
did it cause the rear wheels to lock straight? i didn't know there was a 4ws fuse under the hood.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by AndyD »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I was wondering the samething. That's the problem with my car. The rear wheels are not locking when the 4WS light comes on every once in a while.
By any chance are you guys trying to reset your 4WS? If so, I once pulled off my radio fuse for about a minute because my 4WS light was on when I first my lude, after doing so, the 4WS light came off and I haven't had a problem since.

I already tried that on my car. It still comes on if I turn off the car...and then start it up again within a 10 minute time frame.

where? i do not see a 4ws fuse in the under hood fuse box at all. on my fuse panel map in the cabin fuse box it is on the map but not on the actual fuse panel.
Under the hood the fuse is that 40amp one on the bottom left (as you're facing the rear of the car).well on my 92 it is, since I don't have 4ws I used that for my amp, so I knew it was free.

This will lock the wheels in place if the spring in the system isn't messed up. You can tell if it is by turning the wheel all the way to one side with the car on but parked. Then look at the rear wheel's position and shut the car off. See if the wheel moves back to center. But without the computer there is nothing to tell the system to work.
If you go into the trunk, take the liner off the back of the rear "seats" on the left you will see a giant metallic box with wires going into it. That's the computer. Just make sure that if you remove the power cables you cap them so you don't throw sparks everywhere and all the fun stuff that comes with that.
