I need a set of wires for my jdm h22a, and I went to autozone last night and picked up the ones for a 95. My engine is a 91 (yes, a 91; came in a 92 jdm lude), but the wires i picked up wouldn't fit. The boot that goes down into the cylinder was too short. I made the clerk look through just about every set for hondas, and none had long enough boots. I have tried both honda dealers around me but they don't stock the wire set, so I just ordered a set from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com . Has anyone else had this fitment problem? I haven't had a car in almost a week, and I really need to get back on the road.

I don't see how the wires would be different between usdm and jdm, unless the valve covers are different.

I just want a set that will fit, OE honda preferably. The ones at autozone were Bosch, which is a reputable company, but they wouldn't fit.

 

my NGK wires fit my JDM H22 just fine, there isn't any physical difference between them... do you have the USDM external coil distributor?

 

Sounds like the ones for the H23. The H23 ones will push down on the spark plug but they won't snap on.
